Gimme the Skinny Low Fat Alfredo Sauce
Serve this sauce over whole wheat pasta
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup low fat milk
3/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup chicken stock
Salt and pepper to taste
In a medium bowl, whisk together, flour, milk, and parmesan cheese.
In a large saut pan, on high heat, add flour, milk and cheese mixture. Whisk on high heat. If mixture starts to get too thick, add a little chicken stock. Keep adding until you reach desired consistency. Now add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over whole wheat pasta and garnish with fresh chopped tomato. Enjoy!
(Special Note: In a traditional alfredo sauce you would use cream and butter.)
